i have a philips clock radio ajl308. we can’t get the time to reset on it after a power surge to the clock?

    Try leaving it unplugged for an hour or so and then plug it in and try setting the time then. Sometimes digital things get confused when there are power problems, so if you leave it unpowered for a period of time, it will be able to power up correctly (just like it was brand new). Also, look for a small reset button — sometimes digital clocks have those, too. If it has one, press it…

    If it still doesn’t work, then the power problem fried it…
