I don’t know how to get my Universal Remote to work, I don’t know it’s make/model other than it is a Philips.

First, I have some 3-digit codes for Emerson TV/VCR combo. Try each one of these to see if one of them will make that remote work:
008,009,010,013,015,020,023,027,034,041,042,047,057,062,065,067,068,070.
Here are some 4-digit code numbers to program that remote : 0002,0479,1278,1479.
