“El Cortez” is the story of an autistic man who attempts to start a new life after his incarceration. After five years in a prison for the criminally insane, Manny (Lou Diamond Phillips) returns to Reno. He moves into a motel and takes a job as a clerk at the Hotel El Cortez. He is befriended by Popcorn (Bruce Weitz), a crippled prospector who seeks his help to persuade Russo (Peter Onorati), a wealthy gambler, to invest in Popcorn’s gold mine. But Manny cannot escape his past. He is hounded by Arnie (James McDaniel), the vengeful cop who arrested him. Arnie leans on Manny to keep tabs on Jack (Glenn Plummer), a dealer who is staying at the hotel. In the meantime Jack’s girlfriend, Theda (Tracy Middendorf), learns about the gold mine and starts putting the moves on Manny. Soon Manny is caught in a labyrinth that leads to a murderous triple cross.
He acts like a normal person, speaks like a normal person, drives, has sex, carries a gun, steals things, more like a con / criminal man than someone with autism / special needs. What makes his character have autism? I don’t see anything autistic about him.
Except he can get ruthless and angry when being confronted.

Who do you prefere Zara Philips or Ellen Whitaker? i way prefere Zara, not because she is royal or anything but because she is way more real than Ellen. Anyways who do you prefere?

Soz i put another one about show jumping in horse racing!

i have 27” philipsthat is slowly going downhill. at first the tv was getting a little blurry, now you have to turn the tv on for a few minutes before the cable box so no picture comes up or it will turn off, almost like it is warming up. now you have to turn it on multiple times before it will actually stay on.

I would like to understand how philips samples the video and converts that information into color light values.

I just moved, and I am still unpacking, but my list of codes is in some box somewhere. I need three digit codes for both my Orion TV, and My RCA DVD player! It’s a philips remote control, and if you could help me, I would be SOOO happy! Please help! Thanks!

i have this machine,and i want to back up some old video tapes that i have,they havent been realesed on dvd,so want put them on to it,i noticed some dvd recorders you enter a key combination to turn it off,does this have one?
