Have had two separate Philips CD players, on certain tracs of a CD I play -they ’skip’ or void out part of a song that is played.

I am unsure if the remote that I purchased can be programmed for the type of television that I own. I read the instructions that came along with the remote control, but I could not seem to get the television to do anything at all. Is the problem that the remote is not compatible with the type of television set that I own or could it be something else that I am doing or have not done yet? I own a Sony Trinitron television. I just purchased a Philips DVD remote control that claims that it can operate the television and cable as well. If I wanted to change the channel for the cable programming what setting would I use(TV, cable, VCR)? I also noticed in the instruction manual that different cable systems each have a unique number that can be programmed into the remote control. Should I be programming the cable number into the remote control based on my cable carrier? I am just anxious for someone to give me some guidance here on what I should be doing. I have an old dishwasher and do not know how it works, or if it needs hot or cold water plumbed in. It is a Philips E516 / E5(16).

I saw it on a few online places, but shipping is like $200! And best buy is about $250 more than the online joints!

I have a philips 30PW8420/37. I’ve had it for about 3 years and its making a buzzing noise from that back. What could be the problem? When i mute it, the noise stops.
